Vacation Bible School
VBS will be held June 28th through July 2nd (Wildwood
Forest). It kicks off at the Retreat Pool
on Sunday evening June 28th from 6 to 8. Come have
some fun, have a hotdog and celebrate the week to come at
church. We ask that each family bring a dish to go
with our hotdog support. We will have drinks and paper
products.
Family Fun Day
The annual Family Fun Day will be June 20th from 4 to 8 at
Monte Vista Acres. Activities will include a magic
show by Barry Sink, children's face painting, cake walks,
horseshoes and badminton in addition to others. Hot
dogs, popcorn, ice cream, cake and drinks will be available
free of charge. Music will be provided by the Franklin
County Ramblers who have participated in previous years.
The fellowship that takes place with others from neighboring
communities is always one of the highlights of the day.
National Jr. High Conference
June 19th through the 21st will be the second
National Junior High Conference in the Church of the
Brethren. The 2009 conference will be held at James
Madison University in Harrisonburg, VA. Ken Medema
will lead singing in each or our worship services, as well
as perform a Saturday evening concert. Ted Schwarts
will present Bible skits.
